About us
Feed Me Fight Me, A veteran-founded apparel company for any lifestyle.
Feed Me Fight Me is a Veteran-founded company. Upon returning to their civilian lives, the founders were seeing many of their friends battle mental health issues and simply wanted to do something about it.
Their successful journey started with a shirt. During the era of the 'Hangry' movement, they had decided to coin the term Feed Me or Fight Me. They threw it on a t-shirt, and it caught on. For something that requires a lot of motivation, activewear can be pretty uninspiring. The company’s hope is to create activewear that inspires, without compromising performance.
In January 2022, OpenStore acquired Feed Me Fight Me to continue to empower and inspire fitness junkies and newbies alike. With the standards of quality, design and commitment, Feed Me Fight Me is honored and excited to continue producing the apparels you have come to love, while continuing to make a positive impact on the world.
What does Feed Me Fight Me mean?
If you've ever been "hangry", then you know exactly what we're talking about. If you haven't been "hangry" then let me tell you what it means.
I don’t know about you, but I am prone to unload on someone when I don’t eat. This amazing, spontaneous rage that fills our bodies, and the very reason why Feed Me Fight Me was created, is often referred to as HANGER. It’s real! Experts said so, and now that’s it posted on the internet, it must be true, right!?!
When you skip a meal in hopes of toning your amusement-park-of-a-body, you’re doing yourself no favors. In fact, when you don’t eat, your blood sugar drops. HELLOOOOOOOO!!! When your blood sugar drops, lovely hormones called cortisol and epinephrine are released in an attempt to salvage your sorry ass and get your numbers back to normal. What most folks don’t realize though is that those hormones make you as irritable as a CrossFitter without a squat rack, thus explaining why you're such a volatile ASS when you skip breakfast.
To make things worse, when HANGER strikes, people develop a sudden craving for sugary stuff, LIKE DONUTS. (Love them sprinkles!!!) The demon in all of this is that a sudden spike in blood sugar will inevitably lead to another ‘crash’ thus resulting in animal-like aggression and combative feelings toward your loved ones, and/or innocent bystanders.
So, what do you do when HANGER strikes? Grab a healthy snack that will hold you over until your next meal. Until then --- Feed Me Fight Me, baby!
